Operating visitor accommodation from a listed heritage building
The client for this job came to KTB Planning with the intention of providing much needed visitor accommodation in the Waipa District. The increasing number of major sporting events taking place in the District has brought forward a need for more accommodation. As part of this application consultation was required with neighboring landowners and due the the heritage listing of the building we were required to prepare a heritage planning assessment.
Bed and Breakfast Facility
This particular site was within the Waikato District. Our client had purchased the property with the intention of being able to operate a B&B Facility. The proposal did not meet the definition of a permitted home occupation and so a resource consent was required. Once again consultation with neighbouring landowners was key in obtaining this resource consent.
